Comics Vacation! focuses on the comics experience with respect to the places it inhabits: worldwide and regional movements, cultural points of interest, international personalities, and of course, great comics! The goal is to create a vision of comics culture that, while not all-encompassing (impossible), reflects the current dynamic nature of the medium.

The Author

Ryan W. Brewer has been reading comics in some form or another for probably his whole life. He’s got some kind of advertising degree (BA) and is now working on some kind of publishing degree (MA), both from the same school in Portland (PSU). He’s pretty okay at marketing, writing, and some digital design stuff. He is currently bumming around Angoulême, France trying to figure things out. Like, whether or not he should buy a bike.
